- In these next two weeks we will be having ISF testing and tameshigiri. This Thursday April 17th we will be having testing for Shiho and Toyama Ryu ranks, after testing is finished we will have tameshigiri. The following Monday April 21st we will be testing all other ranks in Shinkendo. Both testing dates will be held at the Urbana Civic Center from 7 to 9 pm. Also both sessions will be closed to only Iwanami Dojo students.

Our Dojo

The Iwanami Dojo is located in the Urbana-Champaign area and is dedicated to teaching Shinkendo, an authentic Japanese Swordsmanship. We are a licensed branch dojo operating under the guidelines set forth by the International Shinkendo Federation, established in 1994 by founder Toshishiro Obata.
